Our home
The Hotel Garni al Barance is managed with care and passion by Cristina and Moreno, born and grew up in Selva di Cadore and lovers of their valley. You can ask them for advices and tips on your treks, ski itineraries and discover authentic places that you can't find in tourist guides. At Hotel Garni al Barance you will find the base to discover the Dolomites, starting with a rich breakfast in the morning and Moreno's advices & Cappuccino. You will find a ski depot with boots dryer while in Summer you can rent our E-Bikes throughout the day. The large terrace is ideal for a relaxing break at the end of your day where a comfortable barbecue is also available. Parking is free and we have a covered place for motorbikes. Wifi is free and available throughout the house, furthermore on the terrace and in the garden you will find two stations to work on the PC while sipping a herbal tea or a cold drink. The breakfast room is also open in the evening where you can have a light dinner, read a book from our library or choose one of our board games, spending quality time with your family, friends or simply with yourself.

Located in Santa Fosca, Selva di Cadore, in the heart of Val Fiorentina, Hotel Garni al Barance is located in a sunny and quiet area among some of the most famous and renowned Dolomites: Pelmo, Civetta and Marmolada. The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the town center of Santa Fosca where you will find a small supermarket always with fresh bread and local products, sport shops, restaurants and the playground with the most panoramic view in the world. With a couple of minutes by car you can reach the slopes of Ski Civetta, the cross-country skiing and biathlon ring in Pescul, or in 20 minutes the slopes of Passo Giau and Cortina d’Ampezzo. In the center of Santa Fosca you will find the Ski Bus stop to be used for example for ski tours such as the Sellaronda and the First World War ski route. The Hotel Garni al Barance also offers endless walks and day trips departing directly from home. With a pleasant walk you can reach the villages of L'Andria, Toffol and the water mill “Molin dei Padre” to discover the cultural and historical aspect of the Val Fiorentina. In Selva di Cadore you will also find the Vittorino Cazzetta Museum for lovers of Prehistory and dinosaurs, a must-see during your stay.

Check out by 10.00 am on the day of departure.
Check-in at reception, we ask you to notify us on our telephone number half an hour before your arrival.
The reservation is considered confirmed only after have done the reservation online and paid the indicated deposit by credit card or wire transfer.
In case of cancellation, the deposit is not refunded.
Travel insurance:
We advise you to take out insurance with your insurance company against cancellation, interruption and/or late arrival of the trip.
Booking conditions Garni:
*Room prices are per person per night for a minimum stay of 3 nights.
*For a period of 1 or 2 nights a supplement of €5 per person per night will be calculated.
* Smoking is not permitted inside the whole house
*double room used as single: +30% (excluding periods Christmas, February, July and August)
*cot supplement: €12.00 per night
*small pet fee: €12.00 per night. Small pets are allowed, by prior agreement, provided that their owners accept full responsibility for any damage caused.
*Tourist tax €1 per person (>12y)per night
*for organizational reason we ask to pay the amount of the stay by the evening before the departure
*It is possible to pay the amount of the stay by cash, card or anticipated wire transfer
*For late arrivals, early departures or unoccupied beds the price will be counted as resulting from the booking.

*Barance apartment prices are per week.
*During the main season, stays are possible for a whole week, from Saturday to Saturday.

*Prices include:VAT, water, heating, electricity, washing machine and dishwasher in the apartment, outdoor parking, final cleaning (except extraordinary cleaning), bed linen, towels, small courtesy set (one supply) WI-FI connection, ski/bike storage with boot dryer, outdoor terrace.
*Prices do not include:
-tourist tax of €1.00 per person per night aged 12 and over.
-Additional services: Possibility of having breakfast in the hotel, Ebike rental, barbecue on the terrace, Apericena Barance, drinks at the bar in the breakfast room.
*At departure, the apartment must be left tidy and clean. In case of extraordinary cleaning, the Management reserves the right to apply a supplement.
